Silver Stalgard® is an entirely chrome-free multi-step coating process that combines an inorganic zinc-rich basecoat with an aluminium-pigmented organic topcoat. The basecoat provides sacrificial protection of the steel substrate while the thermosetting topcoat creates a durable barrier. This duplex process offers advantages of both sacrificial and barrier corrosion protection to provide exceptional corrosion resistance.
