Waste of money

This is not windstorms fault, it’s tapcons fault, but the driver head is 3/16 and extremely small faces for a driver or socket to catch on which always led to slippage which ruined the tapcon before it was even half way into the wall. Should have just stuck to the Home Depot anchors with the 5/16 flange, they drive in 100% every time
WindStorm Products Response: We appreciate the feedback and apologize that these made it difficult for your application. If you ever decide to try them again, we do offer a 3/16" driver designed for the sg anchors and would be more than happy to help you correspond the right driver for each anchor style in the future, we are always here to help get projects completely smoothly. -

I got these anchors for my cbs home and they were perfect. Only thing better would be to get the stainless ones but these will work perfectly

Handy utility hardware

In addition to hurricane shutter use, part is handy to hang up tools and other items where item may vibrate or wind-blow off of mouting. Also handy for attaching long curtain rods so that hole is drilled only once, but multiple generations of curtain rods can be hung without damaging plastered walls
